Despite the Challenges, a Pretty Good Start to 2010!

With a few days still to go in February, and despite the challenges of transactions cancelled due to forces beyond our control, it looks like 2010 will be another record year for our team.  As of today, I am blessed to already have 25 closed or pending Gatlinburg area real estate transactions for the year.  Sadly every one of these 25 sold or pending sale properties is a foreclosure home.  With banks aggressively trying to reduce their inventory, they are pricing property to sell and sell quickly.  While frustrated non-foreclosure sellers stand by watching with envy, the banks are succeeding in getting their properties sold, albeit at what can only be described as fire-sale prices.  This is occurring even during the very challenging economic period our nation is currently enduring.  Despite the good start to the year, we currently have 32 residential properties listed for sale that aren't yet pending sales.  Check out these very attractive homes (several of which aren't foreclosures but still represent excellent value) and let us know if you would like to take a closer look.
