April's Results are in and They Are Great!!

Gatlinburg residential real estate sales in April were again strong making this the 10th consecutive month that our Great Smoky Mountain Association of Realtors members sold more houses than in the corresponding month a year ago.  In fact, during the past three months sales were also better than the monthly sales recorded in 2008.  It seems that our market's trend continues upward, if not exactly in a straight line. This market report has been posted a little later than usual because during April, I was exceptionally busy.  Of course, in the real estate business, if you aren't busy you're broke so I'm grateful for being busy.  With 13 closed sales in April alone and 50 closed or pending sales so far this year, we certainly have been blessed.

I have had this blog since 2003 but didn't really get serious about regularly writing here until the beginning of 2007. I do truly enjoy the opportunity to share my thoughts about our local Gatlinburg area real estate market including the surrounding communities of Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Seymour, Kodak, and Cosby.
