June Sales Don't Quite Equal Last Year, at Least Not Yet...

Although June felt like a good month, it didn't quite finish that way according to the Great Smoky Mountain Association of Realtors MLS database. While several more sales will no doubt be recorded, it looks like our community's real estate agent's production will end up very close to last year's total residential sales. In 2012, Gatlinburg area real estate agencies combined to sell a total of 182 homes and condos. As of tonight, our MLS is reporting only 168 units sold, about 8% less than the year ago total. With the Independence Day holiday and summer vacations more delay than usual may exist but I'm not so sure that we will end up beating last year's total.
