How Busy is Too Busy?

I told a client last week that our office staff was slammed and they asked (rightly so) "Isn't that a good thing?". It is, I remarked, but only to a point. When you get so busy that you can't respond to client requests in a timely fashion, that is too busy. My expert staff does a great job of handling the reams of paperwork and electronic files that our work requires but they can't do all of it. Some tasks still fall to me and that is where the challenge lies. I am however SO grateful for the work that we have.

Real estate is going well and our relatively new property management venture is growing rapidly. The residential rental market is still white hot and we just can't find enough inventory to satisfy the demand for long term (one year lease type) rental properties. The two properties we added just last week are already committed and I have two more folks that we don't have properties for. Even the higher priced properties are in demand as we recently filled two homes that were at and near $2,000/month. We only have a couple of properties that aren't rented and I expect that those too will be rented very soon.

If you are the owner of a home that you don't wish to (or can't) sell at current market levels, contact us to discuss how you might be able to convert a negative situation into a positive. Even the most modest homes now rent for $700.00/month and we currently don't have ANY inventory available under $1600/month. Most standard 3 bedroom, 2 bath homes in Sevierville will rent for around $1000/month but larger homes can rent for a little more.
