Gatlinburg Residential November Sales are Robust!

For the 9th time this year and the 8th month in a row, Gatlinburg area residential real estate sales exceeded the tally from the same month last year. In fact, if the typical late reporting by area real estate firms occurs as usual this month, we could exceed 2012's TOTAL sales without the benefit of December 2013's count. That would be no small accomplishment, given that 2012's total was the best annual performance since all the way back in 2007, before our Smoky Mountain real estate bubble broke in 2008. You can see all of this via the table below:

Sevier County, Tennessee real estate prices are starting to improve as well, so Buyer's will want to step up now or be prepared to pay more, possibly much more later. Our market is mainly composed of second homes which tend to move more slowly in price than primary residential markets do. The trend is certainly up however, and we are looking forward to another great December. In fact, I have more pending sales in December than I have had in the last few months. Hopefully, they all close in time to be counted in 2013!!
