May Residential Sales Extend the Streak!!

Everybody loves a winning streak and Gatlinburg area residential sales are certainly on a serious winning streak! Although May isn't over and there will certainly be quite a few more sales reported, we are already double digits ahead of last year's May results. Furthermore, May 2012 will again exceed not only last year's total, but will probably be the best results since 2007. As of tonight, we are already at 139 sales closed in May 2012 and the month isn't even quite over yet. My best guess is that we will finish with as many as 160-170 residential sales sold by the members of the Great Smoky Mountain Association of Realtors. I'll post the less preliminary May results later this week and a final number sometime around Mid-June but the trend of double-digit increases from last year is now 6 months long and shows no sign of slowing down. The really important question: Can significant price increases for Smoky Mountain real estate be very far behind??

I have had this blog since 2003 but didn't really get serious about regularly writing here until the beginning of 2007.
