Each year, I join a group of about 100 of the most tech savvy, top producing real estate agents in the entire world, the CyberStars. Allen Hainge created this group over 10 years ago to further the use of technology among real estate agents and the group has grown since then. At no other conference I attend will every participant have a laptop or tablet open and most of these people are top producers in the industry as well. Every year, we share ideas about how to serve our clients better and more efficiently. We discuss marketing, management, cost controls, legal and ethics issues and much more. My staff worries that I will come home to Gatlinburg and want to change everything that we are doing in our real estate practice because of what I have learned at this 3 day conference. Fortunately for them, I already like most of what we are doing so I don't anticipate many changes. With over 100 sales personally in 2011, we must be doing something right...

My 4 days in Phoenix, Arizona are now completed and I’m writing this blog post on my way back home to Gatlinburg. Our wonderful staff covered for me while I was away and we even sold a couple of Gatlinburg area real estate properties while I was gone. The purpose of my trip was to share the latest real estate marketing technology ideas with 140 of my smartest friends. The CyberStars is an invitation only group of realtors from around the country (and a couple of foreign countries) and our annual meeting is one conference I just won’t miss. I never fail to learn great ideas that we use to keep our number one selling position in our Gatlinburg area real estate market. With my head filled with lots of projects we will be putting to use to improve our customer service, my staff is a little nervous. Spending Quality Time with 100 of my Smartest Friends Every year the most productive conference I attend is the CyberStars annual summit where I learn more than any other week of the year. Open by invitation only, this group is composed of a very rare group - highly successful real estate agents who are also very technology savvy as well. Sharing great technology and customer service ideas, this meeting provides more useful gems that I can bring back to Gatlinburg than any other meeting I attend. Yesterday, prior to today's start of the conference some of us went on a photography tour of the Sedona, Arizona. Leaving at 5 am and not returning until 10 pm, it was a very long day but the scenery was phenomenal. Not much is as pretty as the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee but the high desert of Arizona is spectacularly beautiful. Here are a couple of pictures that I took yesterday:

Allen Hainge CyberStars Conference This morning I am attending a conference of high tech realtors from around the country to share the latest tools and techniques of our real estate industry. The CyberStars are an invitation only organization of real estate agents who are not only high tech oriented but are also top producers in their markets. With fewer than 200 members worldwide it is an honor to have been a member of this esteemed group for the past 5+ years. With real estate markets around the country in various degrees of duress our Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area real estate market is no different. Only 89 residential units sold in July 2008 in Sevier County so our 650 area realtors didn't have many opportunities to feed their families. My 3 member team had 8 of those 89 sales and we are off to a great start for July as well because of our unique high tech approach to marketing. To learn more about us please view my resume .
