1st Snow of the Season is the Perfect Gatlinburg Storm

Although earlier than usual the first snow of the season has come and it is a typical East Tennessee snow. Typical because it started snowing around 6 AM, was mainly done by late morning, and we got a total of around 2 inches. Much of what fell during the night came as rain and none of it stuck on the roads. The scenery is spectacular but the roads are clear and by this afternoon it will probably be pretty well melted away even off the grass. This is the perfect storm because it gives you all of the beauty without the hassle. In our mild climate this is pretty common around here. Sure, there are occasions when the snow does stick to the asphalt but that is the exception rather than the rule. School closes for anything more than a flurry but even that isn't an issue since this snow came early on Saturday morning. Perfect indeed was this first snow storm of the season for our Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville community!
What does this have to do with Gatlinburg real estate you ask? The mild climate is yet another reason I love living in the East Tennessee Smoky Mountains. For all of the reasons please click here!
