Gatlinburg Area October Home Sales Total 119

Now that a bit more of the dust has settled, it is possible to get a more accurate count of the residential sales tally as reported by our Great Smoky Mountains Association of Realtors MLS database.  Here is the table we have maintained for the past 5 years:
Although more will certainly be added (there were a couple of additional sales reported for September when I reviewed the totals for this post this morning), we will likely not come close to the relatively good 152 sales in October of 2009.  Looks like we might be starting another streak of red numbers as I believe we will also have a hard time matching the sales recorded in November & December of 2009.

On a brighter note, our RE/MAX All Pro office had a good month with nearly 8% of all of the transaction sides that were recorded in October by the entire board.  Sadly, foreclosures accounted for the majority of all of the transactions that we recorded during October.

I have had this blog since 2003 but didn't really get serious about regularly writing here until the beginning of 2007. I do truly enjoy the opportunity to share my thoughts about our local Gatlinburg area real estate market including the surrounding communities of Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Seymour, Kodak, and Cosby.
