September Sales Maintain the Winning Streak!!

It is with no small amount of pleasure that I can share that Gatlinburg area residential sales were up again during September when compared to September 2012's results. This increase, though small, is significant because every month sales are added onto the books for at least of a couple of weeks and some brokers reporting may straggle in after nearly a month has gone by. To have already surpassed last year's total is impressive and it continues what has already been a very good year for Smoky Mountain real estate. During 2013, 7 of the 9 months have been positive comparisons and the last 6 in a row have all been on the plus side, indicating that for now at least our market has some very real strength. Low interest rates, a slowly recovering economy, and the fact that Smoky Mountain real estate prices continue to be attractive to buyers has caused this improving market. Here is my monthly table providing a more graphic view:
OR for those of you who REALLY like visual details...
Although the current shenanigans in Washington, DC do greatly concern me, I am hopeful that our market will continue to recover. If you are interested in buying or selling Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, or any other area real estate, please contact us!
